what i learned from flickr is that is has a lot more special features then google images.You can get rid of red eye, or give it a different color and lots of cool things like that.
I'm glad you found that there is a difference between Google images and Flickr. Flickr was made for storing, editing and sharing photos. Google has photos for viewing, but that's about it.
